Raymond Dow McKean, 86, of North Windham passed away peacefully on October 19, 2018. He was born in Woodsville, NH to the late Charles and Dorothy (Tuxbury) McKean. Ray met Chiyoko, his wife of 54 years, in Iwakuni, Japan, where he was stationed while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Ray ran his own business, McKean’s Mobile Home Service for more than thirty years. Outside of work, he enjoyed bowling. He was a member of a bowling league at Lucky Strike Lanes for several years. In addition to his wife Chiyoko, he leaves his son, Raymond Charles and his wife Harriet; daughter, Lisa McKean; siblings, Sheila Miles and her husband Jr, Robert McKean and his wife Juanita, Ronald McKean, Rosalie Maxfield and her husband Danny, Rupert McKean and his longtime partner Carol Belyea, and Richard McKean and his wife Sandy. Raymond’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 11:00AM at Potter Funeral Home.
