Deepest sincere sympathy to Billy and his family. I was his roommate 3 1/2 years at Vanderman Place in Willimantic. Kay was driving her car until a few weeks ago at age 90. Before her illness she would visit her son Billy every day. Kay would bring Billy his favorite Oreo cookies so he never run out. Bill had epilepsy and he told me what to look for when he had one. I was his friend and wanted him to be safe. The first night we talked till dawn and it was as if he knew me all my life. His brother Tommy was killed in Vietnam at 18 in 1967. Bill was very close to him.

As a teenager and friend of Larry Jr. I spent time in the Richards home. Her kitchen always had the greatest aromas. There was always room at the table for one more. Mrs. Richards welcomed us and made us feel comfortable in her home. I recall a fabulous turkey dinner [and it wasn't even Thanksgiving] that she managed to prepare during the great black out of 1966.
She was loved and respected at the phone company.
I have often thought of her and wondered how she was doing. I am saddened to hear of her passing.
I did not know that Larry Jr. had passed. I mourn his loss greatly.
May the both rest in rest in the arms of the angels.
