I was so saddened to hear of Bettejane's passing. She was a lovely lady and left an impressive legacy.

I would very much like to get in contact with Chris, especially as we apparently live in the same state. Chris, please get in touch via email jsterlingb@gmail.com or 925-202-5325. It has been way too many years, my friend.

Dear Victor, Christopher and Nathan, Maybe I did not know you all so well. But I knew your mother was a lady! Quite polished and refined, she was! From Brookside Village in the Danielson days, to reconnecting with our family in Storrs. From Lehtinens to the Karnes, our mother's lives were always intertwined. From Plainfield H.S. to looking ahead, I have to say, I have always had fond memories. I remember when your mother met John in our living room. The rest is history. But a very fond history! Hold onto her strengths, and that should only continue to give you all strength! Thinking of you at this time! Consider yourselves hugged! Vita Fetterman Goldstein

I was in Bettejane's employ for the past four years helping her out with household and other tasks. Through the years we became good friends. She was just an all around amazing woman. She was the strongest, most capable woman I ever met. I really admired her and learned a lot from her. I will surely miss her. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family.

Dear Karnes family:

I wish to convey my sincerest condolences to your entire family. Losing a loved one in death is one of the hardest things that anyone will ever have to deal with. There is a great hope held out to us for the future because God promises to bring those we lost back to life by means of a resurrection to a paradise earth, where sickness and death will be no more. I hope this brief message will bring you a measure of comfort in this difficult time.
