Vilma Frances (Dore) Blish

May 2, 1928 ~ August 4, 2019 (age 91) 91 Years Old

   Vilma F. Blish, 91, of Windham, passed on to her Lord, Sunday, August 4, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Living Center. She had resided there for the past four years. She was born in Eagleville, CT on May 2, 1928, the daughter of the late George and Frances(Hart) Dore.

 A wonderfully loving mother and grandmother, Vilma was pre-deceased by husband Charles J. Blish who passed in 2018, first husband Mitchell E. Jarzabek who passed in 1971, brother Ernest Dore, sister Lorraine Pietrus, and brother William Dore.

Vilma retired with 25 years of dedicated service from the Rogers Corporation in Willimantic. She then began 35 years of retirement on Larrow Drive. These were some of the best years of her life.  The wonderful friendships she made in the neighborhood were forever near and dear to her heart.

Vilma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Steven and Sandra Jarzabek of Hudson, ME, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Lori Jarzabek of Dorchester, NH; sister-in-law Mrs. Eileen Dore of Ashland, NH; four grandchildren, Michael Jarzabek, Kurt Jarzabek, Amy Hamm, and Mitchell Jarzabek; four great-grandchildren, Amelia, Lydia, James, and Luke.  Vilma’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday August 8, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic.  Her funeral service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 10:00am at the funeral home.
