I sit here, humbled by the words of your passing. What comes to mind is how your Mom and I met at Little League Base Ball. Your son Josh and my son Robert would be out practicing on the field, Cookie and I would be along the chain link fence watching. Cookie lent me your jacket she had in her car while the breezes of Springtime brought a slight chill to the air, this was before I met you in person. On a later date, we met at a game - the rest was a forever love for baseball friendship !
I remember when Deija came into your life, what a true blessing to have a son and now a daughter. Your life was filling up with family. I am sure you had plans for so much more, but your time gave us so much to remember.
I won't question 'why' you had to leave us, it's for the next part to know. I question 'how' do we move on.
My mind is full of random thoughts, sadness is obviously one of them. I will miss you and seeing your smiling eyes when I would see you. You left us a some beautiful people to take care of and we will.

We lost a loved member of our family with Michael's passing. He was a wonderful man. A great Son & Father with a great sense of humor. He put up a valiant fight against Cancer. He will live on in all of our hearts forever.
