Louise Elizabeth (Chesbro) Garabedian

 Louise E. (Chesbro) Garabedian, 76, of Windham, wife of the late Paul Garabedian, died Tuesday December 11, 2018 at John Dempsey Hospital. She was born in Willimantic, the daughter of the late Harry P. and Elizabeth L. (Rosebrooks) Chesbro. She is survived by her son, Robert Garabedian (Lori Bellone) of Manchester, daughter Aleah (Josh) Doblinger of Coventry, daughter-in-law Michelle Garabedian, brother Harry (Nancy) Chesbro of Middletown, and four grandchildren, Leslie, Ethan, Billy and Oliver. Louise was predeceased by her daughter Ellie Sue Garabedian, and her step mother Violet Chesbro (Meyer). Louise graduated from Windham High School in 1961. She maintained her hairdressing license for most of her life, and completed a teacher aid course in 1974. She also worked at the latch key program for a number of years at St. Mary’s School.  Louise was a selfless giver and would always do what she could to help others. She was heavily involved member of her church, a member of the Echo Grange, and a member of the Willimantic Lions Club since 1971.  Music brought immense joy to Louise. She had the most beautiful soprano voice, and sang in her church choir for years. Music, family, and her community is what brought joy to her life. In her final hours, Louise was surrounded by loved ones with Choral Christmas music filling the room.  Louise family will receive relatives and friends on Monday December 17, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte.195), Willimantic. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday December 18, 2018 at 10:00am at the First Congregational Church of Willimantic, 199 Valley St., Willimantic, with burial to follow at the New Willimantic Cemetery.
