Mrs. Marshall was a wonderful woman. She, along with her husband, opened their hearts and shared their extensive knowledge to our family when our son suffered a severe brain injury as their son Alan did. They heard about our son Mark and searched me out to offer whatever help they could as we navigated through the medical and financial issues and finally with the grief when he passed. They were wonderful people and I miss their presence.

Dear Eileen, Paul, and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Julia's passing. I remember her fondly from our time at First United Methodist Church as ALWAYS being and kind and nurturing woman. Later in years I had the pleasure of meeting up with her again in our path's working at UCONN. She was so blessed you have you Eileen and Paul in her later years in life. My condolences to you both and your entire family. May she rest in peace.
Keeping you all in thought and prayer.
Jane

My Mother-in-law, Julia Marshall, passed away on December 17, 2018. After my own mother passed away she became my Mom, like it or not. I’m so short, that I would bring any new pants to her and she would hem them for me. Back in the day, she helped me match the endless baskets of socks. She could remove any stain imaginable. We would drive at night to look for the very best Christmas lights. Even after I divorced her son, she loved me. I am so grateful to her entire family for keeping me in their hearts. She never spoke a bad word about anyone, ever. How she endured the losses of her husband, two sons and a granddaughter with so much dignity and grace is beyond me. She was the glue that held the family together. She was all things good and wonderful, gracious and kind. I hope I won’t offend anyone, but move over Jesus she may just take your place.
