John Moffitt, Sr. was my father-in-law for 12 years. I would describe him as kind, understanding and generous. He was never too busy to stop and listen. When his 4 grandchildren, my sons, were little, at Chrismas, he would dress up like Santa and come bounding into the living room of his cozy house in Windham Center with a big sack of toys. I believe this act of kindness gave him as much joy as it did the children. Our last conversation was about cancer and the fear of death, but it was also about God and the promise of Christ's Salvation. I believe John is now in Paradise and starting a newer more perfect chapter of his life. I am not picturing John "resting in peace". I am picturing him dancing and singing, and laughing and celebrating with friends and family forever and forever......

So sorry to hear of Johnny's passing. Always enjoyed talking with him while
giving him allergy injections, and having him as a very fair and competent repairman
over the years. My condolences to his family.

To Johnny's Family
Over many years, when an appliance needed to be repaired, Johnny was "the one" to call. Everyone knew it would be done right the first time and at the lowest cost possible--many times at no cost. His skill and personal integrity were much appreciated by everyone he served.

We were so saddened to hear about the passing of Johnny, a thoughtful, honest and good man. I (Elaine) remember the Moffitt family when I was a kid on Valley St, and remember him from his Jack Roan days and always had him to repair our appliances enjoying our chats with him. Our deepest condolences to all of his family.

We will miss Johnny, he was our appliance repair guy for many years (both in our home and for any repairs needed in apartments, etc...) He was the most honest guy you could find and was always smiling, kind and always a man of his word!
Rest in peace Johnny, we will all miss you here!
Sincerely,

I grew up across the street from Johnny and his family although I was 8 years younger. Remember all of them very well and Johnny I would see years later as he was my Mom's general repair and handyman. It was always a pleasure visiting with him and talking about the old days on Valley St. My sister Mary sends her thoughts as well.
