Andrea Gale Rosenstein, age 73, resident of Columbia, CT since 1972, passed away on July 11, 2018, in the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Storrs, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Andrea was an educator for over 30 years, teaching Title I reading at Horace W. Porter in Columbia and both French and Spanish at Windham High School in Willimantic. She was an avid reader, loved to cook, take walks along the shore at Crescent Beach in Niantic with her husband and treasured the adventure of travel.  Andrea will be remembered as a loving and doting wife, mother, sister, grandmother and a compassionate and endearing friend.

She is survived by Stanley, her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, her daughter Marcy Lechner (Michael) of Westfield, New Jersey, her son David (Mary Brosnan) of Brooklyn, New York and grandchildren Nathan, Madeline, Donovan and Emmett, brother Sid Levinson (Alice) and sister Judy Barlin (Wayne) and sisters-in-law Harriet Rosenstein, Sherry Rosenstein (Carlo Romano), and Judy Rosenstein (Paul Hoxie) along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The Rosenstein Family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for their kind and dignified care.
