Aunt Freda was a loving sister to my Mom (Irma) whom she treasured. They enjoyed spending time together and, as they got older, by phone and letters, usually in French. Aunt Freda has my love and gratitude for the gifts of the spirit she gave to my Mom. As sister's and best friends the reflection of God in their eyes was the gift of their mother, my grandmother. I am blessed to have these sweet, beautiful and strong women as an example of living in faith,
I remember wanting to eat the " little orange's" from the orange tree in her living room and hiding in the basement, with my cousin's, eating black cherries.
In my minds eye, Aunt Freda will always be a bright and shining star.

We surely miss Alfreda at Woodlake. I keep looking for her in the hallways. But I’m happy she is now home with the Lord, and happy to know she is once again fit and active, and able to all the things she enjoys. I’m thinking of Alfreda’s family during this time, and pray that their memories will bring them comfort, until they are all joined together once again.
