WE want to send your our deepest sympathies on the passing of your Dad. Like my mother Ann Robb your folks were an such an important part of our community,so many times we ate at the Village Treat and oh the lobster rolls were yummy but most important you had a wonderful kind father and mother to be so proud to be their children. I just had surgery last week and was in the hospital when he passed. We will always remember both of them with love We hope your memories give you comfort Butch and Carolyn Storrs

Eileen, Alan, and families,
So sad to hear of your Dad's passing. I have many fond memories of him, his glowing smile, hearty laughter, and his walks and dips at Wells Beach.
May your happy memories of times together sustain you as you and yours grieve the loss of such a dynamic soul.

Eileen, Jack, Alan, Paulette, and family... There are so many great memories that are coming to the surface today. Unkie and Auntie were two very special people to our family. I hold dear my bacon burger, salad with endives and Auntie's French dressing, and delicious chocolate ice cream in the silver scoop containers...my Friday night fare at the Village Treat as a kid. Tina, Donna, and I were so blessed to have such wonderful family vacations with Unkie and Auntie at Wells Beach for so many summers, as well as fun times with your whole family at Al's Nest at Quasset Lake. Riding in Unkie's boat through marshes in Wells Harbor. Uncle Winthrop falling off the back of Dad's wooden motor boat at The Lake. Seeing Unkie from afar in his orange Speedo, at dawn, walking the beach, and then diving into the waves of the frigid Atlantic EVERY MORNING! Such a special man and a special family. Bill and I have just returned to North Carolina after Thanksgiving, but we are with you all in spirit and in love during this difficult time. Sending much love to you all. ❤️

Dear Eileen, Alan and family, my heart is deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Winthrop's passing. In all my life I have never met anyone with such a caring, gentle soul. His smile lit up the room and I have fond memories of heading to the Village Treat for lunch with mom to see him and Aunt Ethel, or watching him walk by the house during his early morning walks -- of course the best times were when he stopped to talk for a few minutes. Heaven has gained another angel -- one that I will sincerely miss. With deepest sympathy and love.

Winthrop was even more than a avid Volunteer for the Mansfield Fire Department. He was President for many years and I looked up to him for advice later when I became President. He always had the best interests in mind for the Department. He later trained and became an active Fire Police member. I grew up within walking distance of the Village Treat and had many great meals there but the best was the homemade pies. All my best wishes to the Family.

My sympathy to the Hawkins family. Mention of Village Treat Restaurant brought back many good memories; making pies as good as theirs became a goal. May your memories of Winthrop bring a smile to your face.
