Alexenia, Please know that I know what you must be experiencing. Sounds like you lost Brian quite suddenly as did I with late husband, Carl. You know that I am feeling your pain. He was a blessing to you and your family as you are to his family. I will send you an e-mail along with this note. I look forward to seeing you next July in Nashville.

Dear Alexinia,
Both Sherry and I will deeply miss seeing and stopping to talk to Brian when we pass your home. Each stop was filled with his famous humor and always brightened our day as we hope it did his. He was a special person and we were fortunate to have him in all our lives.

I met Brian's delightful daughter Tirion, not long after she lost her dear mother. Both of her parents brought great gifts to our world. We have lost talented people. I wish the family peace. Dear Tirion, please come visit me while you are in the states. May the Universe help you find comfort. Edison sends love. Take care, my dear. Love to you, Victoria.

Members of the Board of the CHIP Foundation (Children of High Intellectual Potential) in Victoria, Australia were saddened to hear of the death of Prof Brian Start, our Founder. In the 1980’s Brian had a vision and the passion to support it. He wanted to make Australians aware of the needs of children of high intellectual potential. With that mission in mind he established a Foundation to support the needs of those children, their parents and teachers. That was in the mid 1980’s and he changed the educational landscape in Australia with respect to intellectually able children. On a personal and professional level he made a significant impact in many people’s lives. Our thoughts are with his daughter Tirion in Australia and Brian’s family and friends internationally. Vale Brian – we celebrate your life and achievements.

Dear Alexina, Carlita and Family:

We were very saddened to hear of Brian’s passing. I am so very proud to have had a chance to spend a few moments with him when you all attended the Confratute celebration for Joe Renzulli in July.
Brian - such an engaging personality! I could have spent hours exchanging with him!
How wonderful life must have been with him! In that regard – celebrate!

We pray that your hearts and souls will find peace and comfort in your celebrations and memory of his life.

Our warmest condolences to you both and each in your family.

Dad,
You modeled, for me, what a good scholar, teacher, husband, father and MAN should be. You never made me feel like a "stepdaughter," in fact, you made sure everyone knew me as one of your daughters. Because of YOU, I shall continue to rise. You fought the good fight, now take your just rewards. Not goodbye, mate...never goodbye.
