Theodore "Ted" Carlson Sprague

Theodore C. Sprague, 72, of Willington, CT passed away on March 23, 2021. He was born in Hartford to Normand W. and Ada B. (Carlson) Sprague.

Ted was an avid skier and fisherman. He spent his winters on the ski slopes and his summers pursuing striped bass. Although he didn't talk much about his time in the navy, he served 2 tours in Vietnam and was awarded several commendations including a bronze star.He was concerned about the humane treatment of animals and supported many organizations involved in animal rescue.

He is survived by his brother Barry, his nieces Colleen Smith and Elizabeth Antunovic, his cousins, and his close friends. Ted was predeceased by his parents, Normand and Ada Sprague.

Theodore’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT 06226. His funeral service will be private. Ted will be buried at Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford, CT on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 11:00am In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA.
