Sally A. (Raymond) Grant

Sally Ann Grant, 78, of Lebanon, CT passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2023. She was born in Middletown, CT, the daughter of the late Herbert and Hazel (Folsom) Raymond.

She was a graduate of Newington High school. After graduating, she worked for Aetna insurance. In 1969, her and James married and started a family. Sally built a home that was loving, open to all with home cooking and filled with her crafty creations. She welcomed all the neighborhood kids into her home and always had homemade goodies for them. Once her kids were grown, she went back to work as an expeditor at Willington Name Plate in Stafford Springs, CT. She worked there for many years and retired in 2008. After retirement, she enjoyed taking care of all her grandchildren, playing with her dog Bailey and loved taking trips to Kentucky to visit her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Later in life, Sally adored spending time in nature, watching the hummingbirds and planting flowers in her backyard.

She is survived by her husband James, daughter Jen Knochenhauer and her husband Bernie, son Geoffrey Grant and his girlfriend Mary Cofiell, sisters Linda Manning and Carol Raymond, sister-in-law Patty Raymond, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, grandchildren Krissie Ford and her husband Dave, Kassie Grant, Alexis Green, Haley Grant, Cooper Grant and Macy Knochenhauer, great grandchildren Drake Ford, Kinzlee Ford, Paislee Ford, and Paiton Ford.

Sally's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 10:00 am until her funeral service at 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic. Her burial will follow at New Hebron Cemetery in Hebron, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
