Rosemarie Koper, 83, passed away quietly on February 1, 2020 at Dolphin View Health & Rehabilitation in South Pasadena, FL. She was born in Saratoga Springs, NY, the daughter late John and Mary (Izzo) Guerrie. Rosemarie resided in Gulfport, FL for over 20 years.
Rose was a supervisor of janitorial services for the University of Connecticut for 30 years before she retired in Florida. She was president of the women’s auxiliary of VFW Post 125 and was a long time member. She also belonged to a women’s group who visited children’s hospitals, as well as participating in many charity functions.
Rose was a spirited, vivacious woman who loved country music and dancing. Her favorite sport was hockey because she thought the teams were active and fun. She had many hobbies such as decorating, cards, cribbage, and other board games. Rose was a fantastic cook who inspired her children to become excellent cooks with a love of good food.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
