Robert L. Beaumont

Robert L. Beaumont, 82, of Norwich, CT passed away on April 12, 2021 at his daughter's home with her and his beloved P-Nutt by his side. He was born in Willimantic to Leroy and Helen (Charland) Beaumont.

On April 25, 1959 he married Georgette Rondeau. They raised two sons, Robert Jr and Michael and one daughter, Terry.

Robert lived and worked in Willimantic most of his life. He worked for Willimantic Plumbing Supply as a delivery driver and customer service representative, retiring at the age of 65.

Robert enjoyed spending time with family, bowling, camping, fishing, swimming, and family barbecues. He also enjoyed working his vegetable gardens and sharing the produce.

It seems he was a bit scary to most due to his big voice and size. His niece Gail describes him best. She would tell him he was a toasted marshmallow, crusty on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside.

Robert will be sadly missed by his daughter Terry Kiss; sons Robert and Michael Beaumont and their wives, Joyce and Patty; grandsons Stephen Kiss, Jason, Ryan and Jacob Beaumont; granddaughter Lilah Beaumont, and four great granddaughters; his sister Barbara Golob; and many nieces and nephews.

He is now with his beloved wife Georgette; grandson Kyle Kiss; and his parents Leroy and Helen. 

Robert’s family will have a graveside service for him at St. Mary Cemetery on Rte. 31 in Coventry, CT at 11:00 am Saturday April 24th. All are welcome.
