Richard "Dick" Ingraham Obituary

Richard “Dick” B. Ingraham, 85, of Tolland, CT passed away on April 9, 2021 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. He was the second child of Eugene and Grace (Baldwin) Ingraham. Dick was a graduate of Buckley High School in Hartford, CT and received his degree in accounting from Morse School of Business. He met the love of his life, Carol Anthony, while working with her at Hartford Hospital and they married in 1955. He was a medic in the U.S. Army and after being honorably discharged, he had a career in finance. Dick loved playing cribbage, card games of any kind, and basketball. He was an avid Boston Celtics and NY Yankee fan. He loved his family and all of his friends. He was a member of the Second Congregational Church in Coventry, CT and a resident of Tolland for 48 years. Dick is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carol; children Sharon and her husband, Robert Sweet of Las Vegas, NV; Cindy and her husband, Roger Hurley of Palm Harbor, FL; and David Ingraham and his wife Jean of Windsor Locks, CT; brother Steven Ingraham of Norwich, CT; and grandkids Sarah, Becky, and Noah Ingraham. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Eugene L. Ingraham, Jr. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 3:00pm at Second Congregation Church 1746 Boston Turnpike Coventry, CT 06238. Due to Covid-19, space will be limited at the church. His burial at New Mansfield Center Cemetery in Mansfield, CT will be private.
