Penny Lynn (Lambertson) McComiskey

Celebrating the life of a radiant soul, Penny (Lambertson) McComiskey, a woman who embodied love, kindness, and selflessness in every aspect of her life. Penny was born on October 11, 1970, in Norwich, CT, and on November 18, 2023, she left a lasting legacy of positivity and love.

Penny was a woman of immeasurable courage and strength, always wearing a smile that illuminated the hearts of those around her. She was a source of inspiration, and a wellspring of laughter and joy. Her life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and selflessness. She lived her life with an unwavering devotion to her family and friends, and her love and generosity knew no bounds.

Penny shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship with her husband, Brian. Their bond was a testament to the power of love and the strength of commitment. Together, they raised four incredible children; Jake McComiskey and his wife Katie, Kaitlynne Loucraft and her husband Donovan, Chrystal Canova and her husband Danny, and Aden McComiskey and his girlfriend Anna Campbell. Sadly, she was predeceased by her brother Anthony and her daughter Jenna. Penny was a pillar of support, a guiding light, and a source of endless love for her children. She nurtured their dreams, celebrated their victories, and held their hands through the trials of life.

Penny's love extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of her sister and best friend, Cherie Dascomb and her husband Jerry, her brother, Donald Ladd, and her nieces and nephew - Lauren, Siana, Cassy, Jeanette, Ann, and Nick. Penny was the heart of her family, a source of love and kindness, and a source of inspiration and strength.

One of Penny's greatest joys in life was becoming a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her grandbabies Eurydice, Freyja, and Greyson. To them, she was Mimi, a superhero with an infectious laugh and a heart full of love. Penny's love for her grandchildren was a beautiful testament to her selfless nature and her boundless capacity for love.

In Penny's world, love was a verb. It was seen in her kind gestures, felt in her warm hugs, heard in her laughter, and experienced in her selfless acts. She loved unconditionally, lived passionately, and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a beautiful melody of love, kindness, and selflessness.

In Lieu of Flowers the family request donations be made in Penny’s name in St Jude’s Childrens Hospital at www.stjudes.org.  Penny's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St., Willimantic.
