Nancy E. Dubin, 83, of Sun City Center, Florida and Lebanon, Connecticut passed away peacefully and unexpectedly of natural causes in her sleep at her summer home in Lebanon, CT on Friday, July 9, 2021.

Nancy was born on July 4, 1938, one of four daughters of the late Josephine and Albert Nagel.  She was predeceased by her sister, Beverly Nagel McCarthy.  Nancy is survived by her sisters: Muriel Miller and Barbara Castonguay.  She is also survived by her four children: Elizabeth, Richard, Christopher, and Stephen.  Nancy very much enjoyed the company of Richard’s wife Regina and his mother-in- law, Marie Greenwood.

Nancy had a BSN in Nursing and was an alumni of Hartford Hospital School of Nursing (1959).  She was also a noted artist and for a time presided over the Willimantic Paint and Palette Club of which she was a longtime member.  She won many art awards both in CT and FL.  Nancy was also an avid and certified master gardener and was involved in several gardening clubs in the area. Her gardens inspired much of her artwork.  In her retirement years, Nancy enjoyed her many travels to Europe with both her sister, Murial and Murial’s art students from Eastern CT State University.  Nancy also was a member of the Lebanon 1st Baptist Church and also served as secretary of the Lebanon Flood and Erosion Control Board for a number of years.

Nancy valued education and information by taking many continuing education courses in her lifetime.  She enjoyed comedy and also staying on top on current events.  She subscribed to and read proficiently her many magazines, newspapers, and books on art masters.

Nancy retired as a civil service nurse for the State of CT working at Fairfield Hills and Norwich State Hospital.  In a career break, she was an industrial nurse at the American Thread Company until its closing.  After she retired, she worked part-time at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
