Michael E. Couch

Michael E. Couch, 63, of Colchester, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022. Michael was born October 24, 1958 in Bristol, CT. He was a Combat Engineer for the United States Army stationed in Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri from 1977-1980. He was a shipfitter at Electric Boat through much of the 1980’s and later a slot/electronic technician at Mohegan Sun until 2010. Michael had an avid love of fixing computers and machines. Throughout his life, he had various motorcycles and enjoyed riding. He was a fan of animation including anime, cartoons, and anything sci-fi or fantasy. His favorite was Garfield. He is predeceased by his mother, Laura Ellen (Jowett) Couch, his father, Leonard W. Couch, and his brother Leonard (Chipper) Couch.  Michael leaves behind his children Sandra Blanchette of Willimantic, Amanda Lovejoy and her spouse Michael of Colchester, and Zachary Couch of Willimantic as well as his grandchildren Yaritza, Elijah, and a new grandson due to make his arrival in September.  Additionally, he leaves behind his siblings and their spouses Stephen Couch of Lebanon, CT, Thomas and Deborah Couch of Lebanon, Laura E. (Couch) Ryder and her husband James of Middletown, NH, Tracy Hurst and her significant other Paul Randazzo of Mansfield, CT, and Dawn Gonzales of Willimantic CT. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Peter Cemetery, Hebron.
