Louise M. (Williams) Fried

Louise Margaret Fried (Williams), 73, of Windham, CT, passed away May 5, 2021 after an extended illness. Louise was born in Milford, CT, graduated from Milford High School and Bridgeport School of Nursing. She was a dedicated, life-long registered nurse, spending her career in positions in Texas, Virginia, and most recently in Connecticut. Her fluency in Spanish was key to connecting with many patients as well as staff, during her career. She retired in 2009, and stayed in Connecticut to live near her mother, Althea Williams, and her sister Bonnie Sherman. Louise’s family, friends, and former colleagues all enjoyed her great sense of humor – where nothing was off limits! She enjoyed crocheting and made countless bed shawls and lap blankets for nursing home residents. She also purchased and crocheted small animals for children at the hospital – just to get a smile. Louise was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Odell Williams and Althea Louise Williams (Perry). She leaves behind her sisters Bonnie (Ralph) Sherman, Judi (Bill) Green, and their children Richard Orlowski, Jr. (Jackie), Bryan Orlowski (Kristi Kalriess), Jeremy Orlowski, Peter Bekke, Timothy Bekke, Jillian Vargas (Matthew), and Nicholas Green (Eliza), and grandnieces and nephews Amberley Orlowski, Evelyn, Henry, and Maxwell Vargas.
