Louise J. (Tomellini) Cawley

Louise Jane (Tomellini) Cawley, 90, of Storrs Mansfield, CT, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2022.  She was born in Pawtucket, RI on May 21, 1932, the daughter of the late Peter and Eva (Sacchi) Tomellini.

Louise graduated from the University of Rhode Island as a teacher.   She taught in numerous schools around the area.  Louise loved nothing more than helping those who could not help themselves and her generosity saw no bounds.  She took her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and teacher seriously.  Louise enjoyed meeting new friends as she traveled the world.  She had many dear friends that she counted as family; she will greatly miss their laughter, wisdom, and life lessons.

Louise leaves behind her children and their spouses; grandchildren; four nieces and one nephew.

She was predeceased by her husband, John F. Cawley, son Kevin, grandson Steven, her beloved sister Jane Capalbo and her husband Carmine Capalbo, and her infant brother Edward P. Tomellini.

Her service will be at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with her mission to always help others, donations may be made to Holy Family Home and Shelter, Inc., 88 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT 06226.
