Leslie Rich

Leslie Rich, 62, of Windham, CT passed away on May 15, 2023 due to the sudden onset of an illness. She was the daughter of Peter W. and Barbara E. Rich of Mansfield, CT. 

Leslie was a December baby and was a true wild Sagittarian. She led her life according to what she felt was right. She met a lot of people and learned much from them and she was so grateful to have met you all!

Leslie grew up in beautiful Mansfield and graduated from E.O. Smith High School. She attended a year at Keene State College before entering the real estate developing business and had an exciting 8 year career as a deputy sheriff for Windham county serving civil process. She held a C.N.A. certificate and dabbled in this and that, never really being able to settle down. Leslie had a short marriage to a sailor and led a proud and exciting life. She was very spiritual and preferred the company of animals and being surrounded by the trees. 

She leaves behind her cousin, Joshua Rich of Massachusetts who joined the military and became her hero. Her cousin Dusty Donahue of Hampton who always showed what a big heart she has. Her cousin Daniel Roth of Willimantic and his wife Kiki and her fun uncle Tim Rich of Willimantic whom the Rich family couldn’t live without. Her cousins the Simmons and the Millerds along with many other extended family members. 

She also leaves behind her aunt Susan Randall of Florida, aunt Harriet Randal and husband Wim Smits of Canada, uncle Allan Randall and wife Nancy of Rhode Island. 

Leslie was predeceased by her parents Peter W. and Barbara E. Rich, her grandparents Charlie and Florence Randall of Columbia and Raymond and Betty Rich of Willimantic. Leslie was also predeceased by her beloved big brother Peter W. Rich Jr. in 1967. 6 Years was not long enough. 

Burial Service will be private.
