Leonard J. Incandella, 82, of North Windham, CT and Myrtle Beach, SC, husband of Sharon (Gorgone) Incandella, died Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Backus Hospital. He was born in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Vincent and Anna (Charizione) Incandella.
Lenny was a car salesman for 31 years at Gem Chevrolet/Champagne. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army and he drove the Grand Marshall for years in the Memorial Day Parade. Lenny was a member of the Willimantic Elks 1311, Sons of Italy OSIA 2662, Myrtle Beach, SC, Moose Surfside Beach SC Lodge 2351, VFW, and the American Legion.
In addition to his loving wife of 26 years, he is survived by his son Jeffrey Incandella and his wife Judi of Coventry, CT, stepson Brian Nowyckyj and his wife Heather of Mansfield, CT, stepdaughter Jennifer Major and her companion Ray Cutler of Willimantic, CT, daughter Christine Incandella Lucas of Nobleboro, ME, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, brother Vincent Incandella and his companion Nancy Lebisczak of Colchester, CT, sister Lorraine Parlin of Plant City, FL, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, many close friends, and furbabies Sophie, Simon, and Twitter. Lenny was predeceased by his sisters Catherine Allen, Grace Zegora, Gloria Goulet, and Maryann Incandella.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic. His Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with his burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
