Kevin Francis Brown

Kevin F. Brown passed away peacefully surrounded by family in his Connecticut home on September 8, 2023, after a battle with cancer. 

The youngest of five boys, Kevin was born in Milford, Mass., to Leo Edward Brown and Elizabeth (Daley) Brown on January 30, 1951. He was raised in Franklin, Mass., with his brothers, Paul, Kenneth, Donald and Richard.

After serving in the Army, Kevin married Christine E. (Clinton) Brown and they settled in Willimantic, Conn., where they raised their two daughters, Susan and Candice. 

Kevin enjoyed a quiet life with his little family, including his beloved granddaughters, Avery and Nina. He cherished his small circle of friends and loved music, especially rock and roll. He loved nature and time spent at the beach and delighted in sharing inside jokes with loved ones. 

Always reliable, Kevin got up every day at 4 a.m. for years to open St. Joseph’s Church before returning home to see his daughters off to school. He would continue that tradition for his granddaughters on the first day of school each year. 

While battling cancer himself, Kevin set his own needs aside to care for his beloved wife Christine as she faced her own cancer battle. They were inseparable for 43 years, and he was heartbroken when Christine passed in April of 2022. As his own health declined, his daughter Candice and her husband David moved in to provide much-needed comfort and care. 

In addition to Christine, Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donald. He is survived by daughter Susan and her husband Sean Fitzgerald of Hebron, daughter Candice and her husband David Delorme of Willimantic, and two beautiful granddaughters, Avery and Nina Fitzgerald. He is also survived by three brothers and their families.
