June Florence Lincoln Eckert “JuneBug” or “Junie”, of Mansfield, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 5, 2020.  She was born September 6,1934 in New York, NY and graduated from Windham High School in 1952. Shortly after, she married her pen-pal sweetheart Frank Eugene Eckert in Rockville, CT March 5, 1955. June was a proud Baptist and sang in the choir at the First Baptist Church of Mansfield in her earlier years. She retired in 2005 after 25 years of service with VNA East as a Home Health Aide. June was a 19-year breast cancer survivor and participated each year in the Windham Area Relay for Life. She was a lover of ice-cream, lighthouses and hummingbirds, all of which we will remember her by. She leaves behind three daughters and a son, Theresa and spouse Ed Rodriguez, Frances and spouse Bob Caye, Stephen and spouse Simei Eckert and Sandy Eckert and Sandy’s children; Jacob Allard and Amber Allard; siblings Pam Thurston, Bob Lincoln, Mirla Davison, Leroy Graham, Jerry Slayton and spouses; nieces, nephews and her Sprague cousins. She was predeceased by her mother Josephine Lucy Tebbetts, spouse Frank Eckert, brother Max Lincoln, nephew Chad Davidson, cousins Richard and Rose Sprague, and lifelong friends John Brooks and Elaine Harmon. Her family wishes to send their immense thanks to the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation staff, where she spent her final years on this earth. All of you took fantastic care of our JuneBug and we are beyond grateful for all of your love for her. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
