Joseph Armand Brisson, 101, of Lebanon, CT passed away peacefully Sunday, April 18, 2021. He was born in Lebanon, CT on October 21, 1919 to Ferdinand and Marie (Gladue) Brisson.
He served in the Army in 4th Armored Division - 25th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, Mechanized during WWII. Was a member of the American Legion. He was a dairy farmer, an avid Red Sox fan and a bird watcher. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, the Lebanon Memorial Day Parade and the Lebanon Country Fair. His most cherished thing of all was spending time with family especially his little ones. Joseph was a communicant of St. Mary's and St. Joseph’s Church.
He is survived by his daughters Rita Lataille and her husband Richard, who he lived with, of Lebanon, CT and Theresa Andrews of Willimantic, CT; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Darlene, and Jonathan Andrews of Willimantic, CT, Michael Andrews of Columbia, CT and Paul Andrews of Portland ME, Thomas
Lataille and his Fiancé Susan Slater of Lebanon, CT Christine Lataille-Santiago and her husband Tony of Windham, CT, Katherine Mailloux and her husband Art of Harrisburg, OR and Aimee Finch and her husband Nate of Port Hueneme, CA; seven great grandchildren, Emily Raynsford (Denton) of
Brooklyn, CT and Katlyn Thomas (Ike) of Yuma AZ, Dillon Mailloux (and his fiancé Valerie Martinez) of El Paso, TX, Mason Finch of Port Hueneme, CA, Ryan Wood of Willimantic, CT, Hailey and Kiera Andrews of Columbia, CT; Five great-great grandchildren Gabriel, Izabella, and Marshall Raynsford, Serenity Holt, Eleonora Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Dolores (Lafontaine); son, Armand E. Brisson; son-in law, Stephen Andrews; granddaughter-in-law, Christina (Tinney) Lataille; brothers, Albert, Ernest and Eugene; and sisters, Anna Crotty and Connie Hobby.
His Funeral Mass will be held, Saturday May 1, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Valley Street, Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours.
