John Lee Elliott passed away at home on July 29, 2020. He was born on September 15, 1951 in Sulligent, Alabama. The son of Edward and Russell Mae Elliott he lived most of his life - with his brother Russel Elliott and parents in Lake Worth, Florida. Later moving back to the family farm in Alabama.
In his younger years; John loved anything that involved nature; disappearing for hours to surf the waves before a big storm or deep into the woods fishing the rivers. John would walk for hours on the family farm so proud of his heritage. He had a passion for water skiing; mastering the art of “Barefooting”. John was a star baseball player throughout his years of school.
John (John L) nicknamed by many had so many talents; photographer, carpenter, and craftsman. But what he loved the most was to fish with his son Brandon and work side by side with him building and fixing.
He could tell a tall tale and was a friend to everyone. Give you his last dollar if you needed it. John would tell you though that the best thing that ever happened to him was his two sons Brandon Elliott and Jason Elliott. Sadly Jason predeceased his dad in 2010.
John will be missed by many who called him friend and his family here in Connecticut. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
