John Dazy Obituary

John Cameron Dazy, 71, of Plainfield, CT passed away on March 10, 2024. He was born in Windham, CT, the son of the late Henry and Viola (Eichner) Dazy.

John was a devoted father and absolutely adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to make people laugh and he had the best sense of humor. John had a heart of gold which made making friends easy. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and tending to his daughter’s garden. He also loved football and college basketball, so you know he was a huge UConn fan. John will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter Rheanna and her husband Wayne, sons Wille and his wife Brenda, Mark and his wife Robin, Doug and his wife Jenny, Bear and his wife Kayla, sister Donna and her husband Fran, brothers Gary and Brian and grandchildren Talia and her significant other Andrew, Gavin, Noah, Jazmyn and her husband Brian, Anthony and his significant other Meaghan, Cierra, Cameron, Janaya, and Landan, great grandchildren Aleah and Mason, and another boy expected in July, and many nephews and nieces and their children. John was predeceased by his brother Dwight and his grandson Kristian.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 8:30am to 9:30am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic. His Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with his burial following at New Scotland Cemetery on Devotion Rd. in Scotland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
