John William Bailey

John William Bailey, 62, of Lebanon, CT, passed away in Hartford, CT, on August 15, 2023. He was born in Windham, CT, on March 11, 1961, to the late Robert and Helen (Postemsky) Bailey.

John was a graduate of Windham High School. His intellectual curiosity, cultivated by his love for literature, was a constant throughout his life. John's love of reading was matched only by his love for the outdoors. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, such as spending sunny days at the beach or camping under the starry night sky. 

Known for his loving and friendly nature, John drew people to him, making him a cherished friend to many. John was also known for his handy skills. He could often be found working on various projects or fixing things around the home. His helpful nature and willingness to lend a hand will be remembered by all who knew him.

John leaves behind his loving wife Lisa (Perry) Bailey; sisters Katheryn Spector and Louise Montez; nieces and nephews Cheryl, Carie, Robyn, Robert, and Dallas, as well as many friends he made throughout his life.  He is predeceased by his brother Kenneth.

John’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic.
