Jeremy R. Amberg

Jeremy R. Amberg, 10, of Lebanon, CT passed away on March 18, 2023 after battling a serious illness. He was born in Willimantic, CT on May 4, 2012.

Jeremy had many adventures in his short life highlighted by his trip to Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World. He also enjoyed many outings with family and friends. Jeremy enjoyed his many cartoons and was a big fan of the Star Wars series. Besides being with his family Jeremy loved being with his classmates and staff, past and present, at the Lebanon Elementary and Middle Schools.

He is survived by his parents Russell “Rusty” and Nilda (Gamutan) Amberg, brother Joshua Amberg, sister Jacqueline Amberg, grandmother Rebecca Amberg of Lebanon, CT,  Aunt Johanne Vincent (Mike) and cousin Julie Vincent of Norwich, CT, Uncle Sam Amberg (Leslie) of Windham, CT, grandparents Juan and Hilaria Gamutan, Aunt Jocelyn and Alex Arcilla and cousins Allen and Nicole Arcilla, cousin Grace (Fred) Cagoco, Aunt Virginia Bacarisas and cousins Razil (Richard), Riza, Arvin (Eunice), Vincent and Ariel (Missy) all from the Philippines, Aunt Lea and Uncle Alan Huxley and cousins Lee, Carl and Jasmin Huxley in England. Jeremy was predeceased by his grandfather Harry (Grizz) Amberg.

The family would like to thank Laura Tartaglia for helping us though this devastating time and all the staff at Connecticut Children’s Hospital for the great care they gave Jeremy.

Jeremy’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT. Jeremy was a Wish Kid and in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Make-A-Wish foundation of CT, 56 Commerce Dr. Trumbull, CT in memory of Jeremy Amberg
