With deep sadness we learned of our life long friend Herb’s passing. I met Herby when he moved into our neighborhood, we were both MHS freshmen. We had many common interests and spent our summers vacationing with his parents at their home in Bay View, Gloucester by the sea, Cape Ann, MA. Auntie Grace, uncle Ronald and family were caretakers of the home. Herb and I would stay on through the summer and pay our room and board by doing dishes, painting, repairing, doing odd jobs and maintenance tasks assigned to us by his father and sailing his dads Lightning sail boat in the bay. Those years were a wonderful part of our early life. With heartfelt love and sympathy God Bless you Herby.

Aunt Angie and Scott,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Herb. I have so many fond memories of him (and his motorcycle). He was honestly, the "coolest" and funniest guy I will ever know. We will be praying for you both and the extended family during this difficult time.
I know you spoke with mom and dad, but they are truly affected by the loss of Uncle Herb as you know. Mom and Dad were so blessed to have you all in their lives, as am I and my brothers. Mom, dad and I will make what every memorial you make in the future for Uncle Herb a priority. We look forward to seeing you both soon despite the circumstances.
