Gail K. (Keller) Posten

Gail K. Posten, 85, of South Windsor, CT unexpectedly passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 5, 2020. She was born in Hartford, CT to Albert Milton and Irene (Nolan) Keller.  Gail received her B.S. Degree in 1957 from Teachers College of CT (Central) and taught high school English in Kansas before moving to Virginia, Rhode Island, New York and then spending many years in Storrs.  Her caring, compassionate, and gentle soul touched everyone who knew her.  Gail was a brownie leader, member of a traveling theater group, bridge group member, and organized activities for the statistics department and many family gatherings.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and loving caregiver to many.  Gail excelled as a talented seamstress, knitter and enjoyed reading, musicals, operas, classical music, yard work, church, the beach, and her many outings with her daughter.  She is survived by her daughter June Posten of South Windsor; brother Donald Keller of Florida; and grandchildren Shana, Troy, and Miranda. Gail was predeceased by her parents; husband Harry Posten; daughter Cathy Posten and son Tom Posten; and sister Janice Cochran. Thank you to her longtime friend Marie Hakmiller and the residents and staff at the Village of Buckland Court for their love, kindness, and friendship.  Due to Covid, Gail’s services are private.
