Donald Potter Obituary

Donald Albro Potter, 90, of Windham, CT joined his beloved wife Eunice in heaven on May 9, 2022. Don was born in Windham, CT to Everett and Rosetta (Albro) Potter on September 1, 1931.

After completing his education at Windham schools he followed Eunice to Boston where he obtained his certification as a Radiologist. After completing their educations he and Eunice returned to Windham Center, married and settled into long and happy life for 62 years until Eunice's passing 3 months ago.  Don had a long career at Windham Community Hospital as a Radiology Technician, was a volunteer firefighter for Windham Center, was a past president of the Windham school board and was a lifetime member of The First Congregational Church Of Windham Center.  He was a diehard New York Yankee fan but his greatest passion was reading and he was a devoted supporter of the Windham Center Library.  Don had amassed a large personal library at home which he loved to share with others.

In addition to his wife and parents, Don was predeceased by his older brother Raymond and his younger brother Charles.  Don is survived by a son Jon C Potter (Paula) of Saint Cloud, FL and grandsons Christopher of Rhode Island and Elijha of Florida.  Left to honor his memory is his faithful Scottish Terrior Maggie.

Don's wishes were to be cremated and at a later date there will be a graveside service to lay the remains of Don and Eunice together. For those who wish, please consider a memorial contribution in Don's honor to the Windham Center Public Library. For an online memorial guestbook, please visit www.potterfuneralhome.com.
