Deborah "Deb" Grenier, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2023, in Willimantic, CT. Born on November 18, 1953, in New London, CT, Deb was a vibrant soul whose love and laughter touched everyone who knew her.
Deb attended East Lyme High School in Niantic, Connecticut where she was known for her infectious laughter and love for music. Her fondness for melodies and harmonies was a constant throughout her life, providing comfort and joy in both jubilant and challenging times. She had an open heart and a keen ear, always ready to lend her support to anyone in need and to share a good laugh.
Deborah came from a large family and is survived by five brothers and sisters and their families as well as her devoted and loving husband, Maurice “Moe” Grenier. Additionally, her son Michael Hackbarth, wife Kate and daughter Marykate, son Michael P. Grenier of Middletown, Connecticut, his wife Donna Grenier and their two children Blake and Benjamin. Daughter, Meredith Robert, husband Brent Robert and their two children, Lucas and Cody of South Windsor, CT.
In her passing, Deborah "Deb" Grenier leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and music. Her spirit, embodied in the warmth of her home, the laughter of her friends, and the love of her family, will continue to live on. The memory of her vibrant personality and her unwavering dedication to her loved ones will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
There are no funeral services. Deb’s wishes were to spend eternity among the seas, so her ashes will be spread privately at the beach at a later date.
