Courtney Ann (Sherwood) Provost

Courtney Ann (Sherwood) Provost, 44, lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer and passed peacefully with her family by her side on May 3, 2023.

Courtney attended and graduated from Lyman High School in Lebanon, CT and married Kyle Provost in April 2004. Courtney and Kyle purchased their first home and lived in South Windsor, CT for 8 years before moving to back to Courtney's hometown of Columbia, CT. She worked in the automotive industry for 20 years as a service advisor and a warranty administrator for the Balise Auto Group and The Gates Auto Group until she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. After surgery, treatment and radiation therapy, she had a re-occurrence of cancer that was deemed incurable in October 2021.

Courtney is survived by her husband, Kyle, her two children Lucy and Magnus, her stepdaughter, Madison Provost, and Madison's children Liam and Lyla, her mother Marjorie (Badore) Sherwood, two brothers, Robert Sherwood and William Sherwood, and their extended families. She was predeceased by her father Richard “Dick” Sherwood.

Courtney’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic immediately followed by a celebration of Courtney's life at The Sports Bar, 157 Boston Post Rd. North Windham, CT.
