Constance Joan Smithson-Keefe

Constance “Connie” Joan Smithson-Keefe, 69 years young of Lebanon, CT passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 21, 2021 with loved ones at her side after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born on July 31, 1951, in Muncie, IN, Connie was the oldest daughter of David G. Smithson and Dorothy A. (Hoerst) Smithson Beeson of Parker City, IN. After graduating from Monroe Central High School in 1969, she attended Ball State and began her life-long career in insurance working for Kirk-Patrick Sursa in Muncie and later with Aetna with Customer Relations. Over the years, her job took her to Toledo, OH and then finally to Hartford, CT., where she met and married her love, Kevin E. Keefe in July 1995. Connie was loving, giving, and kind. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing guitar and cards, especially Euchre with the family. She loved people and was loved by her family and friends. Connie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Kevin E. Keefe and daughter Elizabeth M. Keefe, both of Lebanon, CT., sisters Jackie Blankenbaker (John), Cindi Perkins (Jim), and Laura Ferrell, step-brothers John Beeson (Linda), Mark Beeson, sisters-in-law Karen Violet (Rick), Debbie Keefe, Lisa Williams (Rick), in-laws Darrell and Marlene Keefe, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Dorothy Smithson and stepfather Philip Beeson, brother-in-law Scottie Ferrell, and mother-in-law Gloria Keefe. Connie's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT 06226. Her funeral service will be private. She will be buried in New Hebron Cemetery on Monday, March 29 at 11:00am.
