I loved it when Claire came to our book group in Windham Center. She was funny, had interesting things to say, and enjoyed our company, as we did hers. It was an honor to know her. The little red house will always be hers and Wayne's in my memory, even though I know she was pleased to move from there to her apt when the time was right for that to happen. When I think of her, I will smile. Best wishes to you, the members of her family, as you say goodbye to her.

Dear Family of Claire Doubleday,
Claire and Wayne were “regulars” at Windham’s Book Hunters meetings. I will always remember Claire’s refreshing sense of humor. We laughed a lot whether or not the book being reviewed was funny or not. Claire was forthright and said what she meant. I enjoyed being with her and will miss her presence.
