Catherine “Katzi” “Kat-Kat” Sedlak , 96, of Willimantic, CT passed away on October 4, 2020. She was born on March 15, 1924 in Union, CT, eleventh child of John and Susan (Pavlik) Sedlak. The family moved to Union, CT from Pittsburgh, PA in 1909. After attending high school in Stafford Springs, CT, Catherine worked at Pratt &Whitney followed by Electro Motive. She then retired from American Thread after many years there. She was a life-long resident of Willimantic. Catherine is survived by her younger sister Rose Sedlak Schofield of Willington, CT; 15 nieces and nephews; 34 great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews; and an extended family of Lisa Baker Rose of Chaplin, CT and Lynn Baker Zufferey of Charlotte, NC and their children. She is predeceased by sisters Mary Stehlik, Annabella Young, Anna Lang, Helen Lindquist, Margaret Kuryan and Julia Biercuk; and brothers Michael, Andrew, John and Frank.
Catherine loved family weekends and holidays and was always ready for a party. “Some childhood memories bring a big smile, and cards from Aunt Katzi were the best by a mile.” The family wishes to thank some special staff at St. Joseph’s Living Center who went above and beyond to make her life better.

Catherine’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 10:00-11:00am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT 06226.
