Caroline Provost Obituary

Caroline (Atwood) Provost of Mansfield passed away at St. Joseph Living Center, Monday, May 4, 2020 at the age of 102.  She was born May 23, 1917 in the little red farm house on Conantville Road. She was the only child of Frank and Ruth (Reed) Atwood.  Caroline married her soul mate Henry Provost in August 1932.  She resided in Mansfield her entire life.  In the 1960’s she worked as the secretary to the Superintendant of Schools in Mansfield.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Willimantic for many years.  She loved to read, crochet, knit and work in her gardens.  She cherished her family especially her grandchildren. 

Caroline was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Henry Provost, her Son-In-Law, Allan Wass, and her beloved cat Bella [who she spoke of often].

Caroline leaves behind, but lives on in the hearts of her daughter Margret Bender and her husband Edward of Lebanon, grandson Philip Bender and wife Haley of Lebanon.  Granddaughters Ingrid Kay and husband Codi of Lebanon and Rachael Pulaski and husband Nick of Titusville, Fl, her great-granddaughters  “little inchworm” Lily Bender of Lebanon, Natalie, Ella and Ava Pulaski of Titusville, FL and great-grandsons Jacob Jackman of Chaplin and Hunter Pulaski of Titusville, FL.

She also leaves behind her two other daughters Anne Fogg and husband Don of Manchester and Caroline “Lennie” Wass of Mansfield as well as 5 other granddaughters, 6 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
