Brenda M. (Main) Ladd

Brenda M. Ladd, 99, of Willimantic, CT, the wife of the late Everett Ladd, passed away on September 11, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Willimantic, the daughter of the late Daniel and Velma (Frink) Maine.

She worked for the American Thread Company for 26 years, retiring in 1983. Brenda enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and reading as well as doing crafts with the church.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Velda Hess and her husband, Tom; four grandchildren, Andrew Ladd and his wife, Melissa, Craig Haskell and Carri, Brenda Clark and her husband, Todd, and Jennifer Hess; nine great grandchildren, Alan and his wife, Sarah, Nicole and her husband, Nick, Alyssa, Lacie, Colby, Lilli, Daniel, Ella, and Autumn; as well as many friends from the church. She was predeceased by her son, Herbert “Skip” Ladd and his wife, Louise.

The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurses Healthcare Team and the In-Home Hospice Team of Mansfield for their wonderful care and help.

Brenda’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, with a graveside service to follow at 11:30am at Windham Center Cemetery, Windham.
