Beverly A. (Hughes) Gotch

Beverly H. Gotch, 86, long time resident of Mansfield Center, CT more recently of Storrs passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 surrounded by her loving children.  Beverly was born April 15, 1936 to the late Raymond and Rita (Barrett) Hughes. Predeceased by her late husband James Gotch.  Loving mother of six children, son Scott Millette and wife Mercedes of Merritt Island Florida, daughter Carole and husband John Mazzarella of Middlefied, daughter Kelly and husband Donald Dederer of Tolland, son Paul E Millette lll and wife Robin of Ellington, daughter Beverly Carr and partner Thomas Cestroni of Springfield MA and daughter Lizabeth and husband Jose Cedeno of Grove City, Ohio.  Beverly is also survived by 18 grandchildren 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She also leaves brothers, Gary Hughes and wife Carole of Wethersfield and Henry Hughes and wife Patricia of Ponte Vedra Beach Florida.  

After raising her children Beverly worked for many years in the front office of Mansfield Middle School. Beverly was involved in local politics and served as Register of Voters she also served on the Zoning Board for the Town of Mansfield . She was a very active member and spent many years volunteering at the Senior Center. Her passion for life was not only her family but also theater and costume making.  Beverly was very talented with her arts and crafts and loved teaching others.  She had a love for travel with her late husband Jim. Most recently she loved being a part of the Juniper Hill Community.

Beverly’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT.  Her Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St Bernard Church 25 St Bernard’s Terrace Vernon, CT 06066.
