Betty Ann Roberts

1930 - 2021



Betty Ann Roberts (90) of Storrs, CT passed away peacefully during one of her midmorning naps on Monday, March 15, 2021.  She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 30, 1930.  She grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She was married to the late Dr. Thomas Roberts for 40 years.  They both retired from UCONN, Betty Ann from Administrative Services and Tom from teaching English at the university for 40 years.  

Betty Ann is survived by her two sons, Mark Roberts and Daniel Roberts, 4 grandchildren, Morgan, Nikolis, Cheyenne, and Callum, a great granddaughter, Natatlie, 4 nieces and nephews, various relatives in Minnesota, friends (primarily) in CT and a love of life and the world.  Betty Ann was predeceased by her son, Tom Roberts.

In her final years, Betty Ann was devotedly cared for by her son, Dan.  The family would like to thank Kamla, Sharon, Mike and the rest of the staff at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehab for caring for their mother.  Betty Ann was often described as cute, happy, sweet, wonderful, and innocent.

Betty Ann's family will receive relatives and friends for calling hours on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 4pm-6pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willlimantic, CT. 06226.

Dear Mark and Dan. Kevin and I were saddened upon hearing of your moms passing. We remember her well from some of the best days we shared at the Mansfield apartments. She will certainly be a bright star in the heavens above.
