Barbara Waldron, 91, born in Lynn, MA. Barbara lived her life and raised her family in Ashford CT. Barbara passed away at home early Sunday, January 12, 2020 surrounded by beloved family. She is survived by her four children: Mike, Diane, Jaye and Lisa, and stepdaughter: Donna; Three sisters and a brother, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Barbara was a teacher at Windemere Elementary in Ellington, CT for 32 years. She was a Connecticut Auxiliary State Trooper out of Troop C in Tolland – retiring in 2007 after 33 years of service. Her love of adventure took her to New Zealand, a road trip across the United States, and of course Hawaii. She flew small planes and enjoyed jumping into her car to “road run” as she called it. Barbara is pre-deceased by brothers Allan and Donald. Barbara will be laid to rest with her beloved husband John Waldron in Hawaii’s Veterans’ Cemetery, the Punchbowl. A memorial service will be held at Barbara’s long-time church, Living Proof in Ashford CT on Friday, January 24th at 2pm.
