Andrew Michael Sabo, 94, a resident of South Windham, CT since 1964 went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 10, 2022. He was born in Stratford, CT on October 19, 1927 and resided there during his early years.

His family moved to Canterbury where he helped with the family farm, Andrew was a WWII Veteran serving in Germany; upon his return he married the love of his life, Louise Husted. They were married for 69 years until her death in 2017. Andrew started his career at The American Thread Company working his way to the General Manager position until he retired in 1985. As part of his role at American Thread, he also served on numerous civic and community boards. He always joked that he had more retirement years than years worked. Andrew was a very active member of Christian Life Assembly church in Willimantic; he was part of the founding members that established the church in the 1950s. He served on the church board for 54 years. His church family was a very important part of his life.

He was a loving, supportive and devoted husband to his wife Louise, they did everything together. He was a caring and supportive father to many who came through his door, along with raising his own children; he and his wife Louise took in many foster kids and provided a warm and caring home.

Andrew is survived by his loving daughters, Betty-Lou Wengloski of Windham and Suzanne (Kenneth Tutto) of Lebanon and also his daughter-in-law Sara Sabo of Willimantic. He will be missed and remembered by those that called him Dad, Glenn Charette of Killingly and Walter Freeman of Denver, Colorado. Andy leaves behind a rich legacy of love, family and faith to nine grandchildren, JD Sabo, Adam Sabo, Amy Sabo-Vega, Jason Sabo, Michael Wengloski, Kelsey Tutto-Donovan, Stephen Tutto, Jonathan Wengloski, Chad Wengloski and their spouses. He also leaves so very much of that amazing legacy to his great and great-great-grandchildren. Andrew is predeceased by his son John-David Sabo; and Benjamin and James Lanning.
