It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Andre Shamar Wade on Monday, May 31, 2022 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Andre “Sugar” was a wonderful father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, and friend – All who loved him and are struggling to make sense of this unimaginable loss.
Andre was born November 8, 1996 in to Shaun Wade and Janellie (Ortiz) Cervonayco. He grew up in Willimantic, CT and graduated from E.O. Smith High School. Andre had a passion for sports early on in life and spent his younger years playing midget football and baseball for the town and his high school. He also enjoyed listening to music and would dance wherever he was.
He most loved being a dad, goofing around with his younger brother and spending time with family and friends. Andre had an energy about him that with just one encounter you would remember him for life. He always left you thinking about how loving he was or his ridiculously funny humor. Andre left his mark, and he will stay with us all through our memories.
Andre is survived by his son, Calvin Wade; father Shaun Wade; mother and stepfather Janellie and Troy Cervonayco; younger brother Xavion Sanchez; loving girlfriend Elizabeth “Liz” Houle; grandparents Henry and Lori Wade and Ed and Maria (Ortiz) Boisvert; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who loved him. He was predeceased by his grandfather Gonzalo Ortiz.
