Ana Metzler

Ana Elizabeth Metzler, 47, of Ledyard, born on May 9, 1972, and passed from this world into the gates of heaven on February 5, 2020 with her loved ones by her side. Ana faced every challenge in her life with dignity and strength, never losing her presence of joy and gratitude. Her smile, warmth and bubbly nature was and will forever be cherished by all who were blessed with the opportunity to know her. Ana found so much joy in helping others, working both as a health record analyst at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in New London and an Orthodontic assistant to Dr. Thibault in East Lyme where she was not just an employee, but part of a family. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Ana is survived by her granddaughter Isabella Rosado, her children Alisa Velasquez and Noah Darmetko, her sister Jennifer Metzler, her parents Ken and Betty Metzler, her grandmother Marie Metzler, her aunts, uncles and cousins as well as all of their children. A celebration of Ana’s life will be taking place in the Spring, her favorite season, and will be open to all.
