Alfred Williams Obituary

Alfred E. Williams, 93, of Willimantic passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at home.  He was born on August 18, 1928, in Keene, New Hampshire, the son of the late Richard C. Williams and Viola West.

 

Alfred was a proud Army veteran who served his country from 1948-1952.  On September 3, 1949, Alfred married the love of his life, Lucille R. (Vegiard) Williams and together they cherished a family of 5 children. 

 

Alfred is survived by his five children: Marylou Santor and her husband Wayne (VA), Linda Gover and her late husband Ron (VT), Cheryl Ouimette (CT), Edward Williams and his wife Lorna (CT), and Dawn Magnan and her husband Richard (CT). 

 

Alfred also had 11 grandchildren: Melissa, Shaun, Christian and wife Christy, Aaron, Ian and his wife Amy, Justin, Rebeka, Crystal, Dylan and partner Bethany.

He loved his family and was very proud of his great grandchildren as well: Cherokee, Cenikah, Dakota, Zachary, Riley, Colby, Portia, Brayden, Xander, Brenden, Brayden, Jazmyne, and Vida.  He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

 

Alfred was predeceased by his wife, Lucille, his siblings: Viola, Lillian, Leroy, Leonard and half siblings, Albert and Elsie and two granddaughters, Heather and Michelle.

 

 

The family hopes that you will join them for a graveside service on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00am at the New Willimantic Cemetery.  We would like to thank Community Companion and Homemaking Services of Willimantic for their kind and caring assistance over the years, it really did make a difference.
