In 1981, Zbigniew decided to move his family to The United States and after a difficult immigration process that spanned two years, his family eventually joined him in Storrs, CT, where he took a job as a visiting professor. Zbigniew’s three children all attended E.O. Smith High School and New England colleges and his wife, Danuta completed the nostrification process to gain her US medical diploma in Connecticut.
