Woodrow "Woody" Schlehofer

Woodrow L. "Woody" Schlehofer, 84, of Windham, husband of Diane (Pavone) Schlehofer, died Thursday August 21, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. He was born April 24, 1930 the son of Francis and Rosalie (Ives) Schlehofer. Woody was an avid golfer at Willimantic Country Club, he also enjoyed bowling. He worked as a manager at Willi bowl, a boss at American Thread before he opened his own businesses Wood's Antenna Service and a video rental store. Woody also served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters Robin Herron and her husband Randy of Joppa, AL, Holly Schlehofer and her husband Jay Abbott of Conneaut Lake, PA and Carrie House and her husband Daniel of Port Richey,FL; three brothers Truman Schlehofer and his wife Wilma of Manchester, CT, Morton Schlehofer and his wife Anna of Manchester, CT and Frank Schlehofer and his wife Patt of Anchorage, AK; a sister Patricia Woodward and her husband James of Deltona, FL, a brother in law Philip "Butch" Pavone, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a very special friend Mary Rose Trainor.
